Never Too Many Headshots

I do not know why it has taken me this long to realise how important it is to invest in yourself and to see yourself as a brand. Since last year; I have booked a couple of photo shoots at my favourite studio, Vanity Studios, in London. True story; I discovered the studio from a Google search. I did not have maternity shoots because of the pandemic; so as soon as the world was “open” I booked a family shoot at Vanity when Chloe was 10 weeks old. After booking the family photo shoot; I became hooked and decided that I needed to level up and book corporate headshots. I wanted to get updated professional photos and be ready to provide recent professional photos when I am asked to sit on panels and do other speaking engagements. Investing in your personal brand is so important. Too often we think that we need to wait until we land the senior role; launch the successful business; or amass a large social media following but we have to project how we want others to see us. One quote that has stuck with me recently is from John C. Maxwell. He said “my attitude determines my altitude”. So know that you can never have too many photo headshots. Like Jay-Z said “I’m not a business man; I’m a business man”. Invest in yourself so that others will naturally want to do the same.
