Monday Mindset: A Moment to Reflect

Today is the 22nd Anniversary of the September 11 attacks, commonly known as 9/11. I remember where I was and how everyone around me just froze in shock, concern, and fear while watching the attacks happen. I was in Gainesville, Florida as a sophomore at the University of Florida. I tried to call my two cousins who I knew worked in New York City and was worried because I could not reach them. Fortunately, I was able to talk to them and confirm that they were okay. Unfortunately, not everyone was as fortunate me. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives and many more were seriously injured from those attacks. Global efforts were made around the world to combat terrorism. This is a date that will forever be remembered by the world. My prayers and thoughts are with the families whose lives forever changed.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
