Monday Mindset: How you dress is How you are addressed

Last week, I was watching Real Housewives of Lagos (do not judge me :-)). One of the cast members, Chioma, said something that really struck a chord with me. She said “how you are dressed is how you are addressed”. I completely agree with her. I am not saying that you have to wear high end fashion in order to command respect but you should take pride in how you present yourself. People tend to treat you how they believe you treat yourself. So if you put minimal effort then it is very likely people will do the same for you. We live in a society where we are judged by our cover. So if you want to be seen in the best light; then make the effort because remember that you are a walking campaign for yourself.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
