Happy Founders’ Day

Today we honour the legacy of the Original Nine Founders of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® (AKA). These trailblazing Howard University students created a sisterhood dedicated to “Service to All Mankind.” On this Founders’ Day, we celebrate the sorority’s growth to more than 360,000 initiated members in graduate and undergraduate chapters located in 12 nations and territories including the United States, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Japan, Liberia, Nigeria, South Korea, South Africa and the U.S. Virgin Islands. AKA is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women. I am so proud to be a member of this illustrious organisation. I look forward to celebrating with my sorority sisters in London, UK.

Renee Sterling

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
