Galentine’s Day
Last week, I decided to celebrate Galentine’s (Girls celebrating Valentine’s Day together) with my work bestie, Deena. We all know the importance of community and I’m truly grateful for Deena. The past few years were absolutely non-stop and it is so nice to have someone who you feel has your back. I booked a painting session at the Art Social Club in London Bridge. The studio is owned by Jana who was absolutely amazing and allowed us to explore our inner artistry. The atmosphere was so relaxing from the lighting to the playlist. Both Deena and I are not drinking alcohol but other attendees at the session brought alcohol and other snacks to enjoy while painting. After a long day in the office, it was great to relax while also creating art that you can take home. The studio allows you to choose a drawing of your choice and you can decide which colours you would like to use for your art work. I decided to give my painting to Chloe as a Valentine's gift. Jana was so pleased with my painting because of my unique colour scheme. As someone who was recently given an expanded role, I realise that life is what you make of it. You will always be busy but it is so important to carve out time to connect, reflect, and create. So thank you Deena for saying yes to the experience!
