Connection is Good For The Soul

As I get older, I realise how important it is to take the time out to connect with your loved ones. I was so happy to see my good friend, Caroline, who was in town for a few weeks. Caroline and I met when we worked at Goldman Sachs. Caroline worked in Technology and I worked in Finance. Our paths crossed when we held leadership roles at the European Black Employee Network Group. I love everything about Caroline. She is sweet, smart, and hardworking. Our friendship was cemented when we bonded over dinner at Byron at One New Change (RIP Byron). She and I have supported each other over the years. It is amazing how years may lapse but when we connect it’s as if we spoke yesterday. She has no idea how much I needed to see her. God has perfect timing. He always creates moments for you to be with those you need to remind you to keep on pushing. So thank you Caroline for making the time and for being you.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
