Art Tour Continues: Philip Guston

Hey Fam! I know that it has been a while since I blogged but life be lifing and there is a never a dull day. I was pleased to check out Philip Guston’s exhibition at Tate Modern before it ended on 25th February 2024. Philip Guston’s exhibition charted his 50 year career, his varying approaches to painting as well as his artistic, philosophical and social concerns. Guston watched on and responded to wars, racial injustice, violence, political and social upheavals. Guston’s art raised questions about injustice and accountability. Throughout his life, he thought it was an artist’s responsibility to bear witness to what he called the “brutality of the world” and to challenge oneself creatively. I am so happy that I renewed my Tate membership. I continue to be in awe in how powerful art is. It is a medium that is used to promote courageous conversations. Continue to look out for my art commentary.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
