Art Tour Continues: Cute Exhibition

One thing that I love to do with Chloe is to explore the art scene in London. Although Chloe is only three years old; I think it is important to expose her to art. I truly believe in the power of art because it raises awareness on many topics that impact our society. This month’s adventure involved us going to the Cute Exhibition at Somerset House in London. Cute exhibition brings together contemporary artworks, including new artist commissions, and cultural phenomena such as music, fashion, toys, video games and social media. The exhibition also examines the world’s embrace of cute culture and how it has become such an influential measure of our times. Cute can be enjoyed by everyone and features a game arcade and a dedicated section to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hello Kitty, one of the cutest and iconic figures in our culture. I would highly recommend checking it out before it ends on 14th April 2024. In addition to the exhibition, there is also a pop up cafe that pays homage to Hello Kitty. I recommend that you time your visit carefully because you could wait up to two hours to get into the cafe. Unfortunately, Chloe and I were too hungry for the wait but from the pictures that I have seen posted online; it looks like it is worth checking it out if it is not too busy or you are willing to wait. Look out for more art posts. Remember that art can be fun, educational, and thought provoking.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
