Quote To Live By

One of the benefits of riding the tube also known as the underground train in London is that you can come across quotes that are sometimes written on white boards at some of the stations. This week I came across a quote that resonated with me. It stated that “the problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude towards the problem.” This is so true because we know that challenges are inevitable yet sometimes we are surprised when they occur and we want them to disappear but the reality is that we only learn from challenges. Challenges build our character and we typically learn more from challenges than when life goes to plan. Not to mention that as I get older; I realise that there are so many things that are outside of my control. The only thing that I have full control over is my attitude and how I choose to react to situations. Will I allow the challenge to propel me or cripple me? Will I take the lessons learned from it and remember them should a similar situation happen again? Lastly, will I be brave enough to share my story so that someone can learn from me and not repeat the same mistakes I made? So remember that problems are inevitable but just know that it is ultimately your attitude that will help you navigate them as they come.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
