May Bank Holiday

This year May has been a good month because we were blessed with three bank holidays in the UK. The first one was the early May bank holiday which was the 1st May. Then we had 8th May for King Charles III’s coronation. Today is the last May bank holiday. I am looking forward to enjoying the day by doing a few things:

  1. Workout - honestly at this stage working out for me is so important for my well-being. Will talk about that later this week on how I manage my well-being.

  2. Grab a coffee and pastry - Dont judge me but I am a creature of habit. I love going to my local cafe and getting my usual, oat latte extra hot with an extra shot. Since it is a holiday; I will get the cinnamon roll.

  3. Record an episode for the podcast, Race2Rise - It has been a while since we recorded an episode because sometimes you have to be honest on what you are able to do and what needs to be paused.

  4. Have a picnic - My daughter, Chloe, is a socialite and has a lot of friends. Today we will have a picnic with one of her friends and his parents. I am really grateful for the community that we have in our area. It is hard trying to raise a child and not have any immediate family members who live nearby.

  5. See Beyonce - My brother in law and I are going to the Beyonce concert. I have been avoiding social media because I do not want any spoilers but I am hearing that it is an amazing show. No surprise….she is Queen Bey

For those in the UK and US; I hope that you are enjoying your time off. Take the time to reflect, relax, and connect with loved ones.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
