I’m Back

I cannot believe that there are only three months left in 2024. The past few months were insane to say the least. I had a few more medical emergencies with Chloe and dealt with personal disappointments. Honestly, I was struggling to stay positive when all I wanted to do was curl up and feel sorry for myself but then as always I had to dig deep, take stock, lean on God, and keep on pushing. The older I get the more that I realise that life is far from easy. We are always going to be challenged and anything worth attaining will be an uphill battle. That said I am also realising the power of being grateful and am trying to get back to writing a small paragraph on why I am grateful each day. The fact that I am able to wake up, spend time with loved ones, and try to make a difference is a blessing. So I encourage you, no matter where you are in life to try to keep on pushing. I am going to feature the book, Failing Forward by John C Maxwell, in my books section because it really re-invigorated me. I am a huge fan of John C Maxwell. He does a great job in providing simple frameworks to follow and also highlights people who have achieved success while also dealing with challenges and setbacks. So let’s continue to push through, get back up when we are knocked down and remember that our best and brightest days are still ahead of us. This photo was from my holiday in Marrakech, Morocco in August. It was a much needed holiday.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
