Birthday Celebrations
Last week Thursday, I took the day off to celebrate my birthday. I'm truly grateful for seeing another year and for being healthy. I celebrated my birthday by treating myself to a manicure and pedicure; shopping at Selfridges; spending time with my mom (highly recommend the show, Strange Loop); eating Lola’s cupcakes; drinking champagne; and enjoying date night with Nev. It was also nice to hear from my family and friends from all over the world (USA, Jamaica, Australia, Canada, Brazil, and Ghana). While it is scary how time flies; I realise that it is truly a blessing to “get older”. Of course, I am human and I am very critical of where I am financially and professionally but I also realise that many people would love to be in my shoes. As much as I love my birthday; I do realise that summer will be ending and fall will be around the corner. It is crazy that we will only have three moths left in 2023. Instead of waiting for the new year to come up with the same resolutions that I struggle to complete; I am going to use the last three months to finish the year strong. So join me as I continue to be courageous; give back to others; and cherish the little things.
