Late Anniversary Celebration

Last month my husband, Nev, and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. It is a great achievement and I am proud that we continue to operate as a team. Marriage is far from a walk in the park but the most important thing is to operate as a team. I am proud of what we have accomplished together as two young professionals who met in 2008 at a Hip Hop Karaoke Bar. We have survived Brexit, several UK prime ministers, the pandemic, parenthood, and more recently the cost of living crisis. On our actual anniversary, we went out for breakfast in Central London and watched a film on Amazon Prime while drinking champagne and eating ice cream before we had to pick up our daughter from school. We also bought each other nice gifts. I bought Nev a very nice bottle of whiskey and he treated me to a half day at my favourite spa, Aire Ancient Baths London. As you guys can tell by now, my love language is spa. Work was really with busy so I was only able to recently enjoy this half day after battling a pretty gross cold. As I get older, I realise that it is the little things that make me smile. Am manifesting a big trip for the tenth anniversary. In the mean time, cheers to us working as a team and knowing that it takes works to make it work ESPECIALLY when you have kids. Will save that post for another day.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
