Let’s Make a Pact

I am so happy to have achieved this milestone, publishing my first blog post, but this is only the beginning. Now I want to work on another challenge that I have been struggling for years. It is consistency. I have always been the type of person who has an idea but then the challenge is to follow through and be consistent. I have been asking myself; why is it so hard to not only execute but to be consistent. Looking at my own experience; I can break it down to three things:

  1. Time - for years my excuse has been that I am booked and busy. But then I have to ask myself; am I using my time wisely or am I deliberately avoiding the tasks that are not easy for me and blocking my time with “tasks” that are preventing me from pursuing my dreams.

  2. Comfort - Who likes to work on things that are easy? Me. However, it is never “comfortable” to step out of my comfort zone but the reality is that I have developed, grown, and learned through challenges.

  3. Fear - I’m afraid to fail but it is all about mindset. From now on I redefined fear as face everything and rise instead of forget everything and run.

So let’s make a pact to make the time, embrace the discomfort, and redefine fear.

I make a living working in the City of London in banking. For fun I love to read, run, visit spas, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that each of us holds power in our words and can be whatever we want to be so long as we make the commitment to work on it. I love to tell and share stories.
